HealthTech Ireland and the Health Service Executive procurement team meet and collaborate regularly on common challenges and pressing topics in the sector such as cost containment, IFMS roll out, e-tenders and sustainability.
This ensures open and trusted communication and knowledge sharing around supply chain and the evolving landscape and needs for the Health Service Executive.
This month, over 60 members met with the Procurement team John Swords Siobhan Dunphy Peter McGowan Francis Mollen and Robert Notley.
Following presentations, there was a really engaging and open Q & A session around questions our members had submitted through our Procurement working group and pressing questions on the day. Topics discussed included:
– Procurement vision for the future including the structure and processes with the changed landscape and RHAs.
– The evolving procurement department and focus for the short, medium and long term
– Updates- HSE cost containment letter; The IFMS rollout and next stages
– Sustainability- course access to the HSE, HealthTech Ireland, 20 Fifty partners, skills net funded centre of excellence course for September. This course launched in May aligns HSE needs and industry preparation.
