At our symposium on May 30th, Marion Briggs, Sustainability Manager, HealthBeacon, launched a paper on ‘Driving Sustainability in Health Tech Supply Chains Through Procurement – an Irish Leadership Opportunity’.
The paper explores the policy context for sustainable procurement and its enablers, current status of sustainability policies and Green Public Procurement in the sector and status of related policies on Climate Change, Circular Economy and Green Public Procurement. It also explores international examples of best practice and recommendations for improving sustainable procurement for both policymakers and industry.
This white paper was created in collaboration with Davy Horizons with contributions from Department of Health – Ireland, Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, Health Service Executive, Enterprise Ireland, Tallaght University Hospital & industry.
